Buy a gift and help the childen of East Africa receive an education
Due to popular demand, Our African Crafts Gift Shop will be open one additional Sunday, May 16th after each service. Please help the Church support the children of East Africa by purchasing one or more of these beautiful gifts that are handmade in Africa. Our gift shop is located in the Parish Hall.
Founded in 1984 as an intermediary ministry between African and American churches of the Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Anglican denominations, African Team Ministries provide funds for orphan and refugee relief, missions and evangelism in East Africa. They currently have children registered for sponsorship in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. Support is sent directly to each Bishop to provide school fees, tuition, books, and uniforms, ensuring that the children receive education and a measure of stability needed to rebuild their minds.
From a recipient of your goodwill:
“I greet you in the name of the Lord. I am grateful for the help you give me throughout all these years. I am in Eusoro primary school, P.3. We are five children, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. My father died of AIDS/HIV when we were young. My mother is weak. Our house is about to fall on us and my mother cannot manage to build another because she also has AIDS/HIV. However, I am grateful to you and Bishop Shalita for allowing me to be in his orphan programme. I received school fees, uniform and exercise books which has enabled me to be at school. May God bless you”
Your daughter Owera Donalta
