Get involved in making your community better by taking a brief survey

Dear Church Family,

As many of you are aware, I have been named to the Liberty County Family & Consumer Science (FCS) Advisory Board and it is our mission to
improve the lives of the citizens of Liberty County through the development and implementation of educational and awareness programs, along with direct hands-on action to address issues and concerns in our communities. We are currently focusing on four major areas of improvement: Education, Family Services, Workforce Preparation and Medical Services.

I am very pleased to report to you that after attending three board meetings I have found that this is not a "sit around and talk about it" group of folks. The FCS Board is without doubt a hands-on, action-oriented, "get something done" bunch of good Christian women and men who are passionate about making our communities better, healthier, safer places to live, and improving the lives of families. And we are ready and more than willing to tackle specific needs and concerns but WE NEED YOUR HELP!

PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, take a few minutes (literally, that's all it takes), to click on the link below (if the link does not work, just copy and paste it into your web browser) and tell us what concerns you most about the community where you live. There will also be hard copies of the survey available in the parish hall and church office if you would rather complete it manually, then turn it in to the office or give it to me or a vestry member.

Here is the web address to take the survey

If you would like to hear more about the mission and vision of the Family & Consumer Science Advisory Board, tune in to KSHN radio at 99.9 FM at 8:30 a.m. Friday, July 15, when I will join Texas Agrilife Family Services Agent Alexis Cordova and Officer Josh Cummins of the Liberty Police Dept. to talk with KSHN General Manager Bill Buchanan about the work of the board and discuss the Liberty County Project 2020 initiatives.
