Transforming Congregations- The Episcopal Church in the 21st Century
How can our congregation grow and continue to be a healthy community in the face of daunting cultural challenges inside and outside the Episcopal church today? This exciting new study series is designed to invigorate ministry and assure a healthy congregation that is focused on mission, by providing some hands-on tools to help clergy and laity work together to chart their future course. The author of this study, the Rev. Dr. James Lemler, is Priest-in-Charge of historic Christ Episcopal Church in Greenwich, Connecticut, and the former Director of Mission for the Episcopal Church. The former dean of Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, he is a subject matter expert in the areas of philanthropy, stewardship and congregational development.
We will be utilizing Dr. Lemler's book Transforming Congregations for this study, so please sign up in the parish hall to receive your copy and be a part of shaping your church's future! The evening events include dinner and a quiet worship service. We begin as usual at 6:00 PM.
A suggested $5.00 per person donation is requested each week to help defray the cost of dinner, but if you don't have five dollars, don't worry about it, just come and be fed, physically and spiritually! We hope to see you there!
